What is it that keeps some women fit and slender and keeps others 20, 50 or even 100 pounds overweight? Obviously metabolism, lifestyle, everyday diet and movement (or lack thereof) are the roots for this epidemic of overweight women, but this simply cannot be the whole picture.

We know it can’t only be these ingredients, because women all over the world have these same situations everywhere. Yet Americans lead the charge in weight-related health issues.

So what is it? Perhaps the key piece to this big fat puzzle that remains completely ignored (or denied) in our culture is that our weight-loss industry, who should be the harbinger of health and carpe-diem lifestyle changes, is really the messenger of death. Quite simply, it kills us from the inside out. It tells us at every turn that we are no good. That we are fat, lazy, and ultimately, hopeless individuals - but if we try this one last solution, we will be able to “lose it all” and love ourselves.

How’s that working so far? Well, it isn’t. Just look around; as they say, the proof is in the pudding. At least one in every ten people you see, including children, are overweight. And yet we spend billions of dollars every year on weight loss. What is missing? Fortunately, it’s even simpler than adding a “missing” ingredient to our weight loss pie. Easier indeed.

Forget the pie - it’s a lie.

Instead, start to look at weight loss as an inside job. Paradoxically, if you are to lose weight and keep it off, you must learn to love yourself and your body now - before you lose an ounce. As we all know from our Aunt Fannie or our neighbor Big Joe, you can be a phenomenal person at any weight. It is WHO you are, not what you look like that matters.

Does that mean it’s okay to be overweight? Of course not.

Our body is a priceless instrument:

* It carries our soul, so having a healthy body is vital.

* It’s our HOME.

* The old adage, “Health is wealth,” is everything.

* It is the most important thing we can do, because without it, we honestly cannot do anything.

Ask any wealthy person dieing of heart disease or diabetes what they would give for a do over. But that doesn’t come at any price. No do overs. The great news is that today we are running a one-time, special offer on do overs. Do you get what I mean?

Today, do everything right that you can. Eat great food, just because you can. This is the land of opportunity and abundance, and it is a privilege to live here. Does your body work? Then use it. Use it or lose it is your new mantra. In fact, let’s make it, “Use it or lose it, so I will because I LOVE ME.”

Be phenomenal from the INSIDE out and you can’t help but make better choices, make time for your health, and live a better, stronger life.
